Julie Caputo

Julie Caputo has practiced all aspects of family law for over 32 years, starting her legal career in Colorado.

She assists clients with crafting a thoughtful approach to divorce, parenting, and parentage cases (including initial custody, modification and relocation), interstate and UCCJEA matters, assisted reproduction/surrogacy, adoptions, and international family law matters. Julie also represents clients in minor guardianship cases and domestic violence protection orders, along with probate matters and collaborative cases.

Julie is a certified mediator, a trained collaborative attorney, has served as a pro tempre commissioner in Snohomish County. She is a certified ParentTeam ™ Expert as a parenting coach and is also a life coach. She enjoys helping people find solutions, and she provides a fluid legal framework to navigate both immediate concerns, emergencies, and long-term resolutions for the family. While Julie engages in litigation as necessary to defend or protect her clients and, she works hard to reduce animosity long term, and she endeavors to help clients to envision a restructuring of the family that can work best for each tailored set of facts and circumstances. She is a member of Washington , Oregon  and Colorado State Bars and is a member of several professional organizations and serves in the Snohomish County Family Law Section Board.

In her “spare” time, Julie is walking her dog, kayaking, doing yoga, and perhaps catching a live concert.
