Cynthia has successfully represented clients with complex financial issues as well as those with few or no assets. Clients with and without children. Married and unmarried clients. Clients in litigation and collaborative practice. “I mean what can I say after 37 years?  I have pretty much seen it all.” She left a seven-year, comfortable law partnership and took the proverbial “plunge” to start her own practice, Port Gardner Law Group, in January 2012.
Cynthia has served as an elected member of the statewide Washington State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee. She also served for six years as a county-wide elected Commissioner with the Snohomish County PUD, was a partner in the Snohomish firm of Keithly, Weed, Graafstra, First and Benson, and an attorney with Foster Pepper and Shefelman, where her practice was complex civil litigation and family law. She has also been a part-time prosecutor for the cities of Marysville and Snohomish.
Cynthia enjoys spending time with her family, including five perfect grandchildren, as well as developing and running competitive (and not-so-competitive) drives all over Washington and British Columbia with a local car club. She is also a big fan of the Oxford comma.
