Darren attended college and law school in California before returning to his native Pacific Northwest where he began his five-year career as a criminal prosecutor, gaining invaluable courtroom experience and earning recognition for his trial performance.

Darren transitioned to family law and has handled all manner of family law cases, including those involving high assets, businesses, complex custody disputes, domestic violence, child relocations, international parties, and parenting plan modifications.  Darren carefully personalizes the strategy of each case to the individual needs and goals of each client.  Adept at successfully settling the majority of his cases outside of court, when necessary, Darren is a zealous advocate for his clients in the courtroom.  Outside of work, Darren enjoys international travel, reading historical novels, exploring the great outdoors, playing a variety of sports, and spending time with family and his rescue dog Ji (Korean for “wise”).
