David Goodwin focuses his practice on divorce and family law and brings more than 23 years of legal experience to helping individuals and families navigate complex and often emotional transitions.
David is known for his thoughtful counsel, steady approach, and commitment to helping clients resolve difficult matters with clarity, dignity, and practical solutions.
David earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 2000, graduating in the top 10% of his class. He received his law degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2003, graduating cum laude.
Throughout his career, David has represented clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, parenting plan and custody issues, child support, and related family law disputes. He understands that family law cases often involve deeply personal challenges, and he works with clients to provide clear guidance and effective advocacy during these difficult times.
When he is not practicing law, David enjoys many outdoor-related interests, including hiking, backpacking, skiing, mountain climbing, sea kayaking, road cycling and mountain biking. His current passion, however, is supporting his children as they pursue their own sports ambitions.

Siku
Siberian Husky
Siku (an Innuit word meaning “sea ice”) is a 4 year old Siberian Husky. Siku is known for his friendly demeanor and his great love of any treat (don’t tell the vet, but pizza is his favorite). He is very expressive, but often times is remarkably quiet (for a Husky). He loves going on long walks and exploring the outdoors, including splashing in the Puget Sound and playing in any snow he happens to come across.
