Elizabeth is an attorney/mediator who has practiced law for over 30 years, focusing on family law and elder law.
Elizabeth worked as a paralegal and legal assistant for 12 years before she went to law school herself. Elizabeth left her successful solo practice in 2007 to accept a position as Assistant General Counsel at the Washington State Bar Association, where her duties included serving as Chief Presiding Officer at the Bar Exam. (Rumor has it that the sound of Elizabeth’s voice has induced flashbacks in those who took the Bar Exam under her supervision.) In January 2014 Elizabeth left the WSBA and happily returned to private practice. After serving for many years as a judge and commissioner pro tempore, Elizabeth stopped representing clients and limited her private practice to serving as a mediator and arbitrator.
Elizabeth is the author of the Rules Practice and the Family & Community Property Law volumes of Washington Practice, and co-authors the Evidence volumes.
Elizabeth is a Washington native and a lifelong resident of Snohomish County. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
